During the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, in preparation for PARCC, our district’s goal was to create next generation assessments for students and teachers to become familiar with administering and taking. I introduced the district’s technology and curriculum committee to Edcite.com. This digital resource allowed educators to create interactive assessments using tech enhanced skills. Our district was used as a pilot for their school wide program. Then district wide assessments were created in Edcite and each teacher and student received their own account. Teachers were not only able to administer district assessments but they could also create their own assessments. Finally, folders were created and assessments were tagged and aligned with CCSS.
